Petrolia CISD Software Request for Approval Procedure
Thank you for your interest in improving PCISD's software library! We have created this process to help ensure that schools and departments find the software (whether by purchase, grant, or donation) that works with our existing technology and is appropriate for our curriculum. Unfortunately, software purchased or acquired without this approval can't be installed or supported by District Technology.
The Software Approval Committee will determine:
if our equipment meets the vendor's recommended requirements.
if the software will function as promised.
if the software is aligned with Petrolia CISD Curriculum.
if the software shares the personal information of students or staff.
if similar software is already in use in the district.
The appropriate department(s) may also be asked to provide input in this process.
Process
Complete and submit the Software Request for Approval Form found on the Staff tab of the Petrolia CISD website.
Contact the vendor or visit the website to get the most current information for completing the form.
The Software Request Form is only available for submission during three windows: August-September, January, and March-April. Please note that the approval process may take 4-6 weeks. The request will be reviewed by the Administration, Curriculum, and Technology Departments. You will be notified by email if your request is approved or denied when the vetting process has been completed.
